Red Hot Romance was started by Maren Smith from a desire to provide an author-friendly and non-predatory solution for authors to publish their work. This concept grew from publishing books with friends into a full-time business, publishing hundreds of books, and helping many, many authors along the way.
In January 2024, Maren made the decision to step back from publishing and Red Hot Romance was purchased by GTB Publishing, owned by Niki Roge and Rayanna Jamison.
