There is nothing in this world more dangerous than a vampire who has lost his will to live.

Except perhaps one who has lost his sanity. And for too long, I have run the risk of losing both.

They call to me, their innocence shining like a beacon into the meaningless void of my existence.

When Mercy’s life is threatened, the darkness inside of me is the only weapon I have to protect her. But saving her may mean sacrificing the life we’ve just begun to build.
